Volleyball Game Preview: Plano West Wolves vs. Rock Hill Blue Hawks

Plano West is a perfect 3-0 against Rock Hill since September of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolves will square off against the Blue Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Plano West will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Plano West's victory against Plano East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Plano West who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 10-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-11.

Rock Hill not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Princeton as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Blue Hawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Rock Hill walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.

Plano West better focus on containing Peyton Parrott and Emma Alexander as the pair were huge in Rock Hill's win. Parrott had nine assists and four digs, while Alexander had 15 digs and five aces. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Graicen Wilson also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Plano West's record is now 22-4. As for Rock Hill, their record now sits at 12-20.

Plano West took their victory against Rock Hill when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
