Bethlehem Center moved up to 251 from 288 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Tri-County South. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Avella 54-6.
Carmichaels extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bentworth, 56-21. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Dustin Conti was the most productive running back in the league this week. In five carries, he ran for 92 yards as Jefferson-Morgan bested Mapletown. Teammate Santoyo added to the ground attack by rushing for 84 yards.
Santoyo was the best wideout in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week as the Rockets beat the Maples. Santoyo racked up one reception for 87 yards.
Charles Manack put up the best numbers through the air as Frazier defeated Vincentian Academy. He finished with a total of 10 completions for 249 yards and four touchdowns. Manack's favorite target this week was Michael Luce, who caught four passes for 78 yards.
The Commodores' Manack and Jaime Fell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Manack has thrown for 1461 yards this season, while Fell, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 36 catches for 672 yards. Jefferson-Morgan's Conti leads the league in rushing yards with 945.
Liam Ryan's team's Conti needs only 55 yards against Geibel Catholic next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Carmichaels takes on West Greene. John Menhart's team is currently in fourth, while the Pioneers are in sixth.
West Greene took down the Gators 70-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
