If the Berlin Redcoats were riding high off their 58-29 takedown of the Bloomfield Warhawks last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Berlin fell to Windsor 41-37. Berlin has struggled against Windsor recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Berlin had strong showings from Emma Ellison, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks, and Brooke Walker, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Walker has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Berlin's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Windsor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
Berlin will head out on the road to face off against Southington at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Southington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. Windsor won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Somers at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th. Somers is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
