Baseball Recap: Ludlowe Wins Going Away Against Wilton

Ludlowe got themselves on the board against Wilton on Friday, but Wilton never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Falcons have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Tyler Geriak's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Kenny Luczaj and Joe Calabro did most of the damage at the plate: Luczaj went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Calabro went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Luczaj a new career-high. Dylan Davis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Ludlowe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wilton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlowe will challenge Trumbull at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilton, they will venture away from home to face off against Wilbur Cross at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
