The Buckingham Charter Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Rio Vista Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Friday, Buckingham Charter took a serious blow against Sacramento Waldorf, falling 56-27. Buckingham Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Rio Vista beat Golden Sierra 52-43 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rio Vista.
Rio Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matt Bodle led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Holley, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Delta's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Buckingham Charter's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
Buckingham Charter skirted past Rio Vista 31-28 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buckingham Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
