The Atlantic City Vikings extended their postseason success on Friday against the Hammonton Blue Devils. They managed a 75-70 victory over the Blue Devils. The win was familiar territory for Atlantic City who now have ten in a row.
Atlantic City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Finks led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Mikel Jones, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Atlantic City's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Hammonton, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
Atlantic City will square off against Middle Township at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Middle Township will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Atlantic City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hammonton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-51 loss vs. Southern Regional on the 10th.
