The Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Mustangs fell victim to the Temecula Prep Patriots''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 29-0 loss at the hands of the Patriots. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School just can't catch a break and has now endured six losses in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Stahl. Despite the final result, he rushed for 90 yards.
Aidan Fritts had an outrageously good game for Temecula Prep as he rushed for 280 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Temecula Prep also got a significant boost from Alex Grasso-Martins, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 97 yards.
Temecula Prep's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Matthew Hernandez and Oliver Pironti who racked up six sacks between them.
Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5. More embarrasing are the teams that make up that slump in performance: Temecula Prep, California Military Institute, and Nuview Bridge. As for Temecula Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will take on The Webb Schools at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Temecula Prep, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on California Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
