Absegami has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pleasantville Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Absegami knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Pleasantville likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Absegami gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Cape May County Tech, posting a 70-34 victory on the road. Given Absegami's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Cape May County Tech is ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Pleasantville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past Wildwood with a 55-51 victory.
Absegami has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Pleasantville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8.
Absegami took their victory against Pleasantville in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 80-55. Will Absegami repeat their success, or does Pleasantville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
