It was a good run, but the White House-Heritage Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Westmoreland by a score of 32-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points White House-Heritage has scored all season.
Despite the loss, White House-Heritage saw an underclassman step up: Avery Coles scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Coles has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Pryce Payne, who scored four points along with three steals.
White House-Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Westmoreland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
White House-Heritage will head out on the road to face off against Greenbrier at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. White House-Heritage has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. Westmoreland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
