With a playoff win on the line, Pender rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 30-26 W over the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights. The victory was nothing new for the Pendragons as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Trevor Trimble was his usual excellent self, rushing for 194 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards. Pender also got help from Reece Heineman, who showed off his sure hands for 99 receiving yards.
Pender's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Coming up, Pender will head out on the road to challenge Shelby-Rising City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pendragons will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Lourdes Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
