Berlin is 2-8 against the Lancers since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Berlin Redcoats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 6:45 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Berlin didn't have too much trouble with the Spartans at home as they won 39-20. Given Berlin's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Spartans are ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emma Ellison continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Madelynn Sadowski was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern beat the Panthers 39-26 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bristol Eastern.
Berlin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Bristol Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
