Baseball Recap: Sewickley Academy Wins Going Away Against Clairton

Sewickley Academy came out on top against Clairton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. Sewickley Academy blew past Clairton 10-3. The win continues a trend for Sewickley Academy in their matchups with Clairton: they've now won nine in a row.

David Young was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Karan Kad also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sewickley Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clairton only posted an OBP of .208.

Sewickley Academy's record is now 3-9. As for Clairton, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Sewickley Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Clairton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
