The Bishop Feehan Shamrocks will challenge the Xaverian Brothers Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bishop Feehan comes in on eight and Xaverian Brothers on three.
Bishop Feehan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Bishop Hendricken, who was ranked first in their home state at the time (Bishop Feehan was ranked third). The Shamrocks had just enough and edged out the Hawks 7-6 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Shamrocks have won by just one run.

Gavin O'Toole looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Randen May, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Andrew Shute, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Xaverian Brothers' hitters rose to the challenge against a Pioneers pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.06 runs allowed on Monday. The Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over St. John's.
Paul McCarthy tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Xaverian Brothers got a massive performance out of Jackson Morse, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack O'Neil, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Bishop Feehan pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Xaverian Brothers, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bishop Feehan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Xaverian Brothers struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
