Westerville South's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Hayes has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Westerville South, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Hayes keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
Everything went Hayes' way against Westerville South in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Hayes made off with an 11-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
