Last Tuesday, La Marque was beaten by Brazosport 81-23. While losing is never fun, La Marque can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1274th, while Brazosport is ranked 374th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-24, which was the final score in Stafford's tilt against Bay City on Tuesday. Stafford has struggled against Bay City recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
La Marque lost to Stafford at home by a decisive 45-30 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can La Marque avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
