Tonopah hasn't had much luck against Indian Springs recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Muckers are taking a road trip to square off against the Thunderbirds at 1:00 p.m. Tonopah will be strutting in after a victory while Indian Springs will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, Tonopah made easy work of Beaver Dam and carried off a 15-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Muckers in their matchups with the Diamondback: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Charlie Finn, who scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Otteson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Tonopah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaver Dam only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Indian Springs challenged Lake Mead Christian Academy on Monday. The Thunderbirds lost 14-4 to the Eagles. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Adam Groeblinghoff was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Gourley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Indian Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Tonopah, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tonopah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .538. However, it's not like Indian Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .532. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tonopah suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Indian Springs in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Muckers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
