Denton is 1-0 against Memorial since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Denton Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Memorial Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Denton fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Creekview 36-33.
Jacobi Gladney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 235 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. LaMarques Robinson also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Memorial's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They really took it to Independence for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-0 win at home.
Their wins bumped Denton to 3-4 and Memorial to 1-7.
Denton came out on top in a nail-biter against Memorial in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, sneaking past 38-35. Does Denton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
