They came out on top against Atlantic Collegiate Academy by a score of 45-35 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Legion Collegiate Academy also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Legion Collegiate Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amelia Williams out in front who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Legion Collegiate Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Cook, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Legion Collegiate Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legion Collegiate Academy will take on the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
