Tantasqua Regional has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Prouty has won 12 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Warriors will welcome the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Tantasqua Regional is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
If Tantasqua Regional beats Prouty with ten runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Warriors didn't even let Leicester on the board on Friday, marking the Warriors' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Lucas MacNevin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. MacNevin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
In other pitching news, Miles Blake looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
MacNevin wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brady Willitts, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brandon Phillips was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Prouty suffered their biggest loss since May 13, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Bartlett, falling 17-6. The Panthers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Tantasqua Regional's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Prouty, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Everything went Tantasqua Regional's way against Prouty in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Tantasqua Regional made off with a 14-0 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
