Leading Colorado Springs Christian to victory were Kinley Asp and Grace Minihane. Asp dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Minihane scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Asp hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Jordyn Rollins was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
St. Mary's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaela Pedro, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ramirez, who scored nine points.
Colorado Springs Christian's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for St. Mary's, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.
Colorado Springs Christian will take on Banning Lewis Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
