The Linn Wildcats won the last time they faced the New Bloomfield Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Linn walked away with a 58-47 victory over New Bloomfield. Linn pushed the score to 55-33 by the end of the third, a deficit New Bloomfield cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gus Peters, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peters has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hall, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fouch, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Linn's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for New Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Linn on the road again on Thursday and play against Fayette at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for New Bloomfield, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Callaway at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in South Callaway's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
