The Brighton Bruins pushed their score all the way to 64 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-64 to Rush-Henrietta. Brighton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rush-Henrietta apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Rush-Henrietta found their leader in underclassman Avery Council, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Collins-Howard, who scored 19 points.
Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rush-Henrietta, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Brighton will be playing at home against Webster Schroeder at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rush-Henrietta, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
