Even though the Red Cloud Warriors have not done well against the Deshler Dragons recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Red Cloud managed a 33-29 victory over Deshler. The win made it back-to-back wins for Red Cloud.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Fangmeyer, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelynn Minnick, who scored eight points.
Red Cloud is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Deshler, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Red Cloud does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deshler, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blue Hill on February 9th. Hopefully Blue Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
