The Lebanon Tigers pushed their score all the way to 49 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 70-49 loss at the hands of Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (35), Lebanon still had to take the loss.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brendan Shockley, who rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Shockley was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Another player making a difference was Jackson Folden, who threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.1% of his passes.
It was another big night for CJ Harris, who rushed for 325 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per carry. Harris is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Maverick Geske was another key player, having thrown for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
Lebanon now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will be playing at home against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Mooresville is ranked 54th, while Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is ranked 52nd).
