Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Agnes Academy). They walked away with a 49-36 victory over the St. George's Gryphons on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Stars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

St. George's loss came despite strong showings from Kaylah Griffin and Jade Young. Griffin posted 17 points, while Young put up 16 points.

St. Agnes Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for St. George's, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

St. Agnes Academy will take on Memphis Home Education Association in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for St. George's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Fairley on the 13th.
