The Mount Miguel Matadors lost against the Eastlake Titans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. 2024 welcomed Mount Miguel with a 67-43 loss courtesy of Eastlake. Mount Miguel has not had much luck with Eastlake recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jasen Hughes and Thaddeus Boudreaux certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Hughes dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Boudreaux scored 17 points. Hughes also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Cardwell, who scored six points.
Even though they lost, Mount Miguel were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mount Miguel has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Eastlake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
