After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pope Francis Prep, Springfield Renaissance was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers with a sharp 21-13 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Springfield Renaissance as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Jocelyn Pena made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and ten unearned) runs off four hits.
