After flying high against Southeast on Tuesday, LaBrae came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Crestview Rebels on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-15.

LaBrae's offense was headlined by Ally Magoulick and Riley Rowe, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Shelby Bragg and her 12 assists. Finally, Brielle Stout and Ella Kuszmaul kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Crestview was led to victory by Kerrigan Miller and Addison Wendell. Miller had 16 digs and three aces, while Wendell had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Wendell has posted over her last six matchups. Valerie Boyd also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

LaBrae's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Crestview, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

LaBrae and Crestview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Vikings will square off against Windham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (139 vs. 640). Meanwhile, Crestview (ranked 32nd) will meet Liberty (ranked 589th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
