Upper Cape Cod RVT extended the longest winning streak in Mayflower - Small this week by beating Tri-County RVT, 34-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Upper Cape Cod RVT took down the Cougars 34-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Hunter Gray was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 93 yards on nine carries as Nantucket bested Bristol-Plymouth RVT. Teammate Bryan Depass added to the ground attack by rushing for 70 yards.
Old Colony RVT's Jacob Pringle and Kevin Blaise have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pringle has thrown for 504 yards this season, while Blaise, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has five catches for 159 yards. Mike Hernon's team's Jonathan Dumont leads the league in rushing yards with 529.
Two of the top units in Mayflower - Small will face off this week when the Cougars take on Holbrook/Avon. Old Colony RVT's offense has racked up 95 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Bulldogs have allowed only 14 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bryce Guilbeault's team takes on Holbrook/Avon. At the moment, the Cougars are in third, while Fran Cass' team is in second.
The Rams made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,401 from 11,282. The advance stemmed from a 34-18 victory over Tri-County RVT last week.
