The North Daviess Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Forest Park Rangers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
After a string of six wins, North Daviess' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Evansville Mater Dei 40-34.
Meanwhile, Forest Park beat Northeast Dubois 57-44 on Saturday. Given Forest Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Northeast Dubois is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Daviess' loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Forest Park, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1.
Everything came up roses for North Daviess against Forest Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 74-47 victory. Does North Daviess have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forest Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
