Ponte Vedra (Fla.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 31-14 victory over
Palatka (Fla.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter, the Sharks led 17-7 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 10 entering the fourth.
JJ Anderson played well for the Panthers. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to four on the year.
Ponte Vedra came into the game allowing 13.7 points per game. The 14 points that Palatka ended with were well below its average of 25.2 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 20-13 win for PV.
Ponte Vedra (6-1) will play a 5A District 4 game against Creekside next week, while Palatka (2-5) will take on Menendez also in a 5A District 4 game.
