The Windsor Wizards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Longmont 66-40. That's another feather in the cap for Windsor, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
John Backhaus was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Kingsley, who scored 15 points.
Windsor's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Longmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
Windsor will head out on the road to face off against Greeley West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greeley West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Windsor is ranked 45th). As for Longmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greeley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Greeley Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
