Liberal and Lockwood pushed the score to 17-9 the last time they played Lockwood, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Liberal's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Lockwood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-6.

Liberal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lockwood, they will face off against Purdy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3, the Eagles 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
