The Dupo Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Wesclin Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dupo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Dupo barely beat New Athens the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Yellow Jackets 9-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won three in a row.

Addison Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kylie Kloess was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maryann Imhoff, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Dupo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Wesclin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-3 to Gibault Catholic.
Wesclin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Hooks, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.
Dupo's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Wesclin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
Dupo's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Tigers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Wesclin, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Dupo continue to outrun the ball?
Dupo came out on top in a nail-biter against Wesclin in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
