The Tekonsha Indians fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Pansophia Academy with a sharp 58-35 victory on Wednesday. That looming 58-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tekonsha yet this season.
It was another big night for Reagan Henry, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Tekonsha's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Veenkant, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Tekonsha's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pansophia Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Tekonsha won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hillsdale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Tekonsha focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday. As for Pansophia Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rudolf Steiner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rudolf Steiner comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
