Scottsburg is 1-6 against North Harrison since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Scottsburg Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the North Harrison Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Scottsburg took a serious blow against Brownstown Central, falling 48-21. While losing is never fun, Scottsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Brownstown Central is ranked 110th).
Scottsburg's defeat came about despite a quality game from Lucas Toppe, who picked up 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Harrison fell victim to Providence's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 35-0 loss at the hands of the Pioneers. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, North Harrison couldn't push the score so high this time.
Scottsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Scottsburg lost to North Harrison on the road by a decisive 34-20 margin in their previous meeting back in August. Can Scottsburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
