The Riverdale Ridge Ravens will head out to square off against the Northglenn Norsemen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Riverdale Ridge has three straight victories, Northglenn has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Riverdale Ridge got the win against Mountain Range by a conclusive 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Tyler Swan was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Jayce Sanchez looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jaydon Brophy was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Riverdale Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Northglenn came up short against Prairie View on Thursday, falling 11-1.
Riverdale Ridge's record now sits at 12-5. As for Northglenn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Everything went Riverdale Ridge's way against Northglenn in their previous matchup back in March, as Riverdale Ridge made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
