Odem had a senior duo take command as Aidan Lozano rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown and Josh Chavira threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. Kyle Wuenschel did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why George West lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Davian Zuniga. Despite the final result, he rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Zuniga was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Odem's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points per game. As for George West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
