Peter Llerena was the best pitcher in 3A District 15 this week, leading Mater Lakes Academy. He picked up one win and six strikeouts.
The Bears' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only ten hits and three walks, both of which led the league.
Six batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by Alex Lorenzo, who collected five hits in seven at bats for a .714 average.

Eddie Salomon led the league in strikeouts this week with ten. With 21 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks second in the league.
The Bears' Salomon threw five shutout innings in a 10-0 win over the Knights on Monday. He struck out ten, allowing one hit.
