Basketball Recap: St. Paul's Prep Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

St. Paul's Prep extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Wyatt Tate. The St. Paul's Prep Lions came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-51 W against the Heritage Christian Academy Lions thanks in part to Tate, who posted 32 points and three steals. His evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Santiago Salinas was another key player, putting up six points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Heritage Christian Academy lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Matthew Pappas, who earned 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Hicks, who put up 12 points.

St. Paul's Prep pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Coming up, St. Paul's Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against Community Christian at 6:30 p.m. Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
