 Eagle Rock pushed their record up to 11-5 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Verdugo Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
 Verdugo Hills skirted past Eagle Rock  4-3 in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
