The Bucyrus Redmen lost against the Upper Sandusky Rams back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bucyrus was the victim of a rough 62-42 loss at the hands of Upper Sandusky. Bucyrus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Bucyrus lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brook Dennison. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Dennison scored a full 35.7% of Bucyrus' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Marissa Middleton, who scored nine points.
Bucyrus has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Upper Sandusky, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bucyrus will face off against Carey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Carey's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Bucyrus has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Upper Sandusky, they will face off against Buckeye Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckeye Central is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
