Baseball Recap: Porum's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Porum had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Haworth Lions as they made off with a 16-3 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

S Robinson made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Robinson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, M Tripp was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. I Sallee was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Porum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Porum's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Haworth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Porum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Haworth, they will be playing at home against Soper at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
