Piedmont lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Yukon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Millers a 14-0 shutout on Friday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Piedmont, bringing their record up to 27-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Yukon, their loss dropped their record down to 21-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Piedmont beat the Millers by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.
