The Western Brown Broncos suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Goshen, falling 83-52. While losing is never fun, Western Brown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while Goshen is ranked 104th).
Goshen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Zeinner led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven assists. Zeinner has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bray Settelmayer, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Western Brown's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Goshen, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Brown will take on Wilmington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Goshen, they will be playing at home against Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Western Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
