The Tikigaq Harpooners's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past Nunamiut 82-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Nunamiut saw an underclassman step up: Kevin Gordon scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justus Mulcahy, who scored 11 points.
Tikigaq's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-11. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Nunamiut, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
