Central A & M is 2-8 against Tuscola since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Central A & M is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Central A & M let Clinton stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Tuesday but luckily Central A & M prevailed anyway. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Maroons, sneaking past 9-7. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Maroons: they've now won five in a row.

Gwyn Hardimon made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Sophie Roe was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Kayla McPeek was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Central A & M kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 9-3 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tuscola). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over St. Teresa on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Ava Boyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brynlee Ring, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Tuscola has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Central A & M, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.
Tuscola's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central A & M hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Tuscola, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Central A & M's hitters?
Central A & M couldn't quite finish off Tuscola in their previous meeting back in April and fell 7-5. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
