On Friday Medford take on Winthrop at Miller Fld @ Winthrop HS at 7:00 PM. Medford are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
There's no need to mince words: Medford lost to Lynn Classical last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-52. Medford were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-31.
Meanwhile, Winthrop couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Winthrop didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 21-27 to Pentucket Regional.
