The Marathon Dolphins had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 55-40 fall against Palmer Trinity on Tuesday. Marathon lost against Palmer Trinity in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-46 score last time.
Despite the loss, Marathon still got an impressive performance from ADRIAN CRUZ, who scored 19 points.
Palmer Trinity's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graham Yanowitch, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Xachary Bloom, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Marathon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Palmer Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marathon will challenge Somerset Academy South Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Miami Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
