The Lake View Wild Gators can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Green Sea Floyds as Lake View made off with a 48-23 victory. The win was familiar territory for Lake View who now have four in a row.
Lake View had a senior duo take command as Gwendasia Page dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten steals and Jaleya Ford scored 17 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ford has scored at least a third of Lake View's points. Another player making a difference was Zy'Kiara Waters, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Despite the defeat, Green Sea Floyds saw an underclassman step up: Janyrah Mccleod scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Shantavia Hilliard was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Lake View's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Green Sea Floyds, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Coincidentally, Lake View and Green Sea Floyds will both be playing Hannah-Pamplico the next time they take the court. Green Sea Floyds will head out to face Hannah-Pamplico at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lake View will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 23rd.
